Yes, we are! Freedom Constructions is a fully licenced building company. We take out and hold three types of insurance to protect our clients and their assets:

QBCC Insurance protects clients during and after the construction phase of the project. Public Liability Insurance generally covers any injury, loss or damage caused during construction. Construction Works Insurance covers loss or damage caused after the works are handed over, as a general overview.

Yes, it does. Freedom Constructions offers a QBCC backed 6.5 year warranty on structural works and a 12 month warranty on any cosmetic defects, which is also backed by the QBCC.

Depending on your project type, eg. adding a dwelling, you may need to contact the Cairns Regional Council to ensure your property is correctly zoned for the works to be carried out. We are happy to assist with this process as best we can.

In terms of building certifiers, once plans are approved by council, we will engage the building certifier on your behalf to ensure all preliminaries are taken care of and that the plans adhere to all structural requirements.

We are a building and construction company based in Cairns, Queensland and provide a local service to all suburbs in Cairns.

While you definitely don't need plans before reaching out to a builder, it does greatly speed up the quoting process, as there is no down time awaiting the building designer's drawings, which is how we form a fixed quote for all our projects. No ballpark figures here!

If you do need to get plans drawn, we work with local designers who have similar visions and values to us. Reach out and we will be happy to assist you with this.

Having a clear idea of your budget is very important. A budget is essential so that you can work with your builder and building designer to ensure your desires can be worked into a reality. While we do not compromise on the quality or finishes of a project just to fit a budget, we do ensure that we provide accurate and value driven quotes to our clients in the planning stage.

As each project and client are completely different, how a project is financed can vary widely. If you are not planning on using cash savings, it is best to speak to your bank or a financial advisor about the options available to you.
